I have been a passionate advocate for publicly funded, Catholic education since I began teaching during the turmoil of the Harris years. I was active during Ontario's Days of Action protests and on the HSU Political Action Committees during the subsequent elections, culminating in the defeat of Harris' Conservative Government.
I first served as a Staff Representative on the HSU Executive in 2004, and I have since held the positions of Recording Officer and Political Action/Communications Officer. I have been involved in Collective Bargaining, and I have represented our teaches at fifteen OECTA Annual General Meetings.
I have been an English teacher at Cathedral High School since 1998. I also teach math and music courses.
